Rahu-Ketu Shanti Puja

"Rahu-Ketu Shanti Puja" is a remedial procedure performed when the positions of Rahu and Ketu planets in a horoscope are not correct or when there are defects like "Kaal Sarpa Dosha". According to astrology, Rahu is called the "shadow planet" and Ketu is called the "moksha karaku". Description of the Ritual

1. Idol worship: An idol made of lead for Rahu and an idol made of bronze for Ketu are installed and worshipped.
2. Abhishekam: The idols of Rahu-Ketu are anointed with milk or other holy liquids.

3. Offering of clothes: Black or blue cloth is offered to Rahu, and multi-colored (pictured) cloth is offered to Ketu.
4. Offering of grains: Millets are offered to Rahu, and ulavas are offered to Ketu.
5. Chanting of mantras: Vedic scholars recite the eight chants of Rahu and Ketu, and the Gayatri mantra.
