3. Shodashopachara Puja: Invite the Lord with upacharas like asana, padyam, and arghya.
4. Mantra Recitation: Abhishekam is performed while Vedic scholars recite "Ganapati Atharvashirsham", "Mahaganapathi Moola Mantra" or "Ganesha Ashtottaram".
5. Doorvarchana (Garika Puja): After the abhishekam is over, it is very important to worship the Lord with Garika. Garika means life to Ganapati.
6. Naivedyam: Undrallu, kudumulu, modakas and jaggery are offered as Naivedyam and aarti is performed.
When to perform it?
• Chavithi Tithi: It is auspicious to perform it on the fourth day of Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha (Sankatahara) of every month.
• Vinayaka Chavithi: Abhishekam performed on the biggest festival day of the year gives special results.
• Wednesday: Wednesday is the most auspicious day for Ganapati.
